Laminate flooring requires careful attention when cleaning to maintain its aesthetic and make sure you don’t cause any damage. Too much water or incorrect products could cause irreversible damage to the protective layer on your flooring. So how should you clean it?
Regularly vacuum your laminate flooring to remove dirt and debris. You should also regularly use a damp mop for a deeper clean. A mop with a washable, reusable microfiber head tends to be a good choice and makes it really easy to mop regularly. You can use specialist laminate floor cleaner or white vinegar mixed with water. After mopping leave to air dry or use a soft towel to dry this can reduce a streaky finish.
Do not attempt to polish or wax a laminate floor or use a scouring cloth as this will could damage the protective coating and leave scratches which will ruin your laminate flooring.
