Removing red wine stains from clothes is tricky, but it is worse when it comes to carpet. Here is a handy method to remove those stubborn red wine stains.
You will need to gather together some things, these are:
Kitchen Roll or white cloths
Hoover (optional)
Water
Baking Soda
This method is used when the red wine stain is fresh
Blot the stain immediately with the kitchen roll or white cloths, making sure to move the cloth around and always use a clean part of the cloth for a new blotting area.
Pour a small amount of cool water onto the stain. This dilutes the red wine. Continue to blot. Keep adding a small amount of water and blotting until no more red wine is being absorbed this way.
Mix a three-part baking soda to one part water paste and apply directly onto the stain. Wait for the paste to dry completely before hoovering the area.
You can repeat the baking soda method if not all the stain is removed.
